Ogi Feel the Beat


Ogi Feel the Beat is a solo project of Oleg Brnic from Serbia. Since the late 90s, he has been a member of several rap and punk rock bands as a vocalist, guitarist or MC. In 2010, under the pseudonym Ogi Feel the Beat, he started recording instrumental hip-hop, occasionally collaborating both with musicians from Paracin and with authors from Soundcloud. 

The release "Good Vibes" is released on Label Cantroll. There are no vocals here, it's chill-hop, somewhat background, but exciting with its relaxed melodies and nice samples. The music is convenient to listen to while working or studying, it will help to concentrate and remove negative thoughts from your head.

Chromatic Fields is an instrumental electronic project founded in 2019 by composer Ilya Sakharov. The name of the project is a reference to color (chromatic) fields from color theory, which include different colors and shades in a certain sequence. Chromatic Fields compositions combine various musical elements and directions into a single musical harmony: jazz noir notes are combined with classic hip-hop beats and synthesizer parts.    

Ilya has previously featured on Label Cantroll's flagship international compilation Take a Trip. "Ready to the Way" is the debut album. Here you will hear lyrical compositions with keyboard and brass parts combined with synthesized and sampled elements under hip-hop percussion. Together they create a single harmonious picture and offer the listener to take a journey through the musical canvas.

Listen tracks from the third official album by the French duo Arom. 

These songs were recorded in 2002-2004. However, the duo broke up and the songs - mastered at the legendary Abbey Road Studios - went into oblivion after a while and were not published. Twenty years later, #LabelCantroll releases two full-lengths: the eponymous Arom and A La Vie. This was made possible thanks to a label listener who spent a year looking for writers, convincing them to officially publish the songs and collecting all the source material. 

Their music is #triphop and #indie pop, created with groovebox and synths, constantly going into different sounds - trip-rock, soul or acid jazz. The main thing is the vocals in French and English, somewhat reminiscent of Björk. The authors of the project are Dominique for the music and Caroline for the vocals. The name Arom is a combination of the letters of the names (cARoline and dOMinique).

The album "A New Spring Has Passed" continues the main line from Paradeigma - kind and life-affirming #abstract_hiphop #downtempo music without vocals. Released on #LabelCantroll on the last day of Spring 2022.

From the author: "It's surprising how many people aspire to success. It's a very strange, vague and blurry concept. What is success? What is failure? What is the meaning of reaching success? Is there anything more meaningful than success? It's a lottery. Well, yes, someone wins. But if you don't win, that doesn't mean anything. Develop your personality. It's a real asset and an endless resource. How are you going to live your life - will you live it with dignity or not?
 
Take time off from work and wake up at ten in the morning. Put your phone on silent mode. Fry eggs, make a tasty sandwich - create the maximum illusion of a breakfast made with your own hands, not the nearest cafe. Go for a stroll in the park. In that time, the world won't collapse, politicians won't start a war, and your boss won't go crazy without finding you. In those two hours, NOTHING at all is going to happen. Give yourself that time. 
 
Priorities change. So do the environment and the world around you. It's not always easy to see what really matters. Many diseases or failures come from having the wrong goal system in life. You can CHANGE your destiny by CHANGING your attitude toward the world. Do the really important things-it's a shortcut to moving forward. 
Things will be different from here on out. Better than before, I believe".
