After releasing May’s reSPRAY Vol. 1 and July’s reSPRAY Vol. 2, the third and final instalment of the series is coming our way in September.

Sibling musical co-conspirators Spray – the duo of Jenny McLaren and Ricardo Autobahn – have built up a select but perfectly formed international following thanks to their extensive back catalogue, their riotous live performances, and their particular and often sardonic take on indie, disco, and pop.

Spray’s music is lively, personal, sometimes seditious, and often not-so-subtly political. It’s music that will make you laugh, cry, and dance – often at the same time – in a dizzying whirl of sensations.

As part of The Cuban Boys, they topped the John Peel Festive 50 Charts twice, annoyed all the right people with some Eurovision shenanigans, and embarked on a series of collaborations designed to disrupt the UK music industry.

Spray’s love/hate relationship with pop music and its associated dark arts is at the heart of this third volume of remixes, remakes, and deep cuts. Despite all that, they still want to make the perfect pop song, prompting them to revisit a series of classics over this three-volume remix series.

reSPRAY Vol. 3 features the 2025 versions of It’s All in the Drums from 2006’s Children of a Laser God, Spaced, and the title track of their 2016 album, Living in Neon, and last but not least, Defenceless from 2019’s Failure is Inevitable. This EP and its two digital siblings are perfectly bite-sized introductions to Spray’s back catalogue and a great taster for those unfamiliar with their extensive repertoire.
