Todmorden dwellers and label near-neighbours Lines of Silence make their sophomore appearance as AnalogueTrash signees with the electrifying Tzip Tzap!. The release follows in the wake of their May single The Long Way Home.

Lines of Silence are a kosmische / krautrock referencing band hailing from Todmorden, West Yorkshire by way of South East London and Manchester. Previously a solo project helmed by David Little, 2024 has seen him team up with electronic music legend Dave Clarkson who has since become a permanent member of the band.

Dave Clarkson has an extensive and illustrious history in electronic and experimental music circles, spanning three decades. Dave is a member of the band Scissorgun alongside Alan Hempsall of Factory Records legends Crispy Ambulance, as well as recording as a solo artist.

This particular song signals a departure from the project’s previous work in a number of ways. “Tzip Tzap! is one of the first tracks Lines of Silence worked on following the expansion of the line-up to a duo,” says David. “It reflects not only the change in personnel, but a change in direction: the long form introspection of previous releases has been replaced by a short explosion of optimism and a head-on collision between surf-rock and Zappi-style heavy beats.”
