Kyle Numann started his journey in Iowa, making drawings and playing with a camcorder. His visual interests extended to the aural, with acoustic guitar, effects pedals, 4-track recordings, metalcore bands, and eventually a move to Nashville that evolved his experimentation into looping pedals with live percussion courtesy of longtime collaborator Amoretta Taylor. The looping gave way to Cloudmouth, an art-folk band with two underrated albums, experimental ambient interludes and a return to his visual roots with a series of compelling music videos. On a lark, Numann performed a two-hour ambient set at a local Sake bar, which planted the seed for a monthly collaborative series called Ambient Sundays, an early evening gathering of like-minded creatives that helped congeal a community. Throughout it all, Numann found satisfaction in experimentation, a fact most undeniable when considering his solo work under the moniker Infinite Limb.
