Anangokaa is an Ojibwe word, translating to ‘there are many stars’, both a nod to my indigenous heritage and an invitation to step out of daily life and imagine the unimaginable.

Reflecting my deep connection to the natural world and puzzlement at my place in it, these eight pieces try to bridge the gap between inner and outer worlds and to express emotions which have no words.

Recorded in early 2023, mainly in single take performances on modular synthesizer. Artwork by Mads Clement (they/them) of Antlered Artworks. https://antleredartworks.carrd.co/. Mastered by Barry Gardner at www.masteringmastering.co.uk.

There Are Many Stars What would it sound like inside one of them?

He Feels Darkly “The true artist is not proud, he unfortunately sees that art has no limits; he feels darkly how far he is from the goal; and though he may be admired by others, he is sad not to have reached that point to which his better genius only appears as a distant, guiding sun.”

I Will Be Water Water always takes the path of least resistance but given enough time will carve canyons into granite. For Jackie.

Knowing the Last Thing There is to Know Step into the temple…

The Halls of Waiting “If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.”

If You’re Quiet, Birds Will Come Mindfulness meditation teaches us to try to quiet our minds, releasing outside thoughts as they intrude. It’s harder than it sounds.
