Isolated Poet

1988 Re-released 2024; Geographic Magnet - the full album. It was created in Santa Fe, New Mexico under Red Clay Records, however only Dolphins was officially released. During the Windham Hill experiment in the early '80s and '90s, the ripple effect encouraged independent New Mexico artists to produce various projects, but many were never published. Composed under the artist NDM; Roland Jupiter 8 and Yamaha PSS 270 synthesizers and other special masking were used for this recording originally made for cassette tape and remastered in 2024

Originally produced by Red Clay Records New Mexico re-released under Isolated Poet. In 1987, having your own recording studio was a dream rather than a reality because memory, technology, and recording standards were more of an art than science. My recording studio consisted of two synthesizers: a Peavey Studio Amp my brother got me on my birthday and a stereo cassette player with a built-in microphone.  So, this was a one-take operation.  Sometime during the development, my parent's fridge was going out and at 2:00 AM I awoke to the sound of the moaning motor which I decided was so unreal that I recorded it and then using a MXR Flanger brought the unearthly sound to life.  And, along with the sounds of a hike I took in the mountains of Santa Fe during the fall, it became the salad of special effects that framed the beautiful composition, the “Song For the Earth.”  "Half-Rotation" is the remix and master of the original production that was approximately 18 minutes long.  Special thanks to Dahvin B.

The Light Dreams

Light can be deceptive. We cannot see without it. We rely on it completely. But if it hits a surface at an unusual angle, or reflects off an object that we didn’t know was there, we can be taken by surprise. We might see something out of the corner of our eye that we find disturbing. We’re not sure whether it actually happened – was it real, or wasn’t it?

New experiences can help us to resolve the issues at the heart of such questions, to enable a clearer view of the truth of what is going on around us. The music of this album provides a focus for our exploration of the mysteries that lie in the world as it really is.

Awakening

The Band Famous

Awakening is The Band Famous most ambitious project yet, with each track bending different genres. It is the 2nd musical album released by this power couple in rock'n'roll!

Self-produced and Los-Angeles based husband/wife production duo combine soul, hip-hop, rock and roll, EDM, and industrial sounds within the Awakening - EP.

We self-produced our album, and self-produced our music videos for every track off of our EP. We also made a short film, which includes the final music video for "Because" in a Matrix fan film titled "The Matrix: Because".

The song and music video for "Emotional Scatter" - the hit off the EP - was written, produced, and recorded while living in a car during a 2.5 year trial of homelessness, (which is talked about in our interview with Voyage LA) and later mastered and finished when the band opened The Band Famous private venue in Los Angeles.

A note: While the name of the EP is Awakening, the song "Awakening" is not part of this EP, but will be released in a future project.
