Tennis Boy Blues was a Berlin band that was together between 1984 and 1985. Founding members were Michael Schäumer (P1/E), the SF-Beat radio presenter and former Dagowops singer Monika Dietl and the Japanese keyboard wizard Yuji Kimura. The band was soon joined by Mattus Simons (Der Moderne Man).

The band had a highly acclaimed performance at the Danceteria in New York and reached the finals of the Senate Rock Competition in Berlin, where they were defeated by their fellow band Shark Vegas. Nevertheless, the band got a record deal with UFF Zick Records, the label of Soif De La Vie (Goddess Of Love). The 12" single "My Imagination" is only released to the public today.
