Requiem for the Slaughtered Innocents

I wake up these mornings, make a coffee, turn on Al-Jazeera, and learn about the latest atrocity - children being burned alive in Gaza. So I start my day in tears.

The main theme is adapted from the andante of Scriabin's Piano Concerto in F#m. It's a sombre melody. The middle section is mine.It's effervescent, the way childhood should be - in a world that isn't rotten through and through.
