Reticular Patterns

Because it looks like a series of six-pointed stars, the ‘Reticular Patterns’ is said to be talismanic and hated by demons. It also had the meaning of fencing off the spirits of men and children from floating away. 籠目（かごめ）模様は、六芒星（ろくぼうせい）が並んでいるように見えることから、魔除け（まよけ）の意味があり、鬼が嫌うと言われています。また、男性や子供の霊が浮遊するのを囲うことで防ぐ意味もありました。
