Outside Out of Body

A spontaneous piece, that came as I played with the glorious Oberheim OB-E synthesizer, producing a vivid picture in my mind. This is the story of a first-time astronaut's first-time spacewalk, urged on by mission control to fix a problem on the outside of his ship. It's a taught, panicky piece punctuated by his hard breathing, but with the momentary feelings of intense awe as his fear triggers an out-of-body experience - and he looks at his own self from outside his body, engulfed by space.
