The first notes of Nocturnal’s new album wake you up into a dream. Morning sunlight tingles your cheeks as you stretch and flex your muscles, beats dripping around you like thick honey. The rhythm morphs into a rippling bassline, chased by a flurry of snappy hi-hats which pull you up out of the soft, lazy grass and onto your feet. With each new track, your environment is deconstructed and reconstructed; beats rolling into you with increasing momentum; sounds falling, spiraling and whizzing around you. Your body instinctively dodges and weaves around them, moving so organically you barely even realize you’re dancing.
