Whats Going On (Reel To Reel Lo-Fi Mix)

This is a 100% human made track that involved quite a bit of experimenting to complete. The production process involved the first time use of an old Reel to Reel tape machine, which introduced Lo-Fi artifacts such as hiss. During production, when the stems were imported into Cubase a decision was made not to use a noise reduction plugin to remove some of the tape hiss. It's an experimental track that was composed, mixed and mastered by Davy David Dave at Planet 3 Recordings. The original idea for the track was asking "what's going on?", as in what on earth is going on with the state of the world at the moment. The track has a bit of an unusual vibe, much like the unusual state of the world in 2026.
