Bio

Mishko is a London-based artist working at the intersection of alternative, experimental, and rhythm-driven songwriting. Born and raised in London, he creates music rooted in honesty, vulnerability, and emotional immediacy. His artist name, Mishko—used by his family and close friends—means “little Michael” in Polish, reflecting a deeply personal connection to identity and origin that informs his work.

A trained multi-instrumentalist of over 15 years, Mishko plays piano, guitar, bass, drums, saxophone, trumpet, and sings, bringing a rare instrumental fluency to his compositions. He produces primarily in Ableton, experimenting across DAWs and embracing unconventional techniques—from musique concrète sampling to AI-generated sounds—to craft textured, unpredictable sonic landscapes. While his earlier work leaned heavily into electronic experimentation, his current sound increasingly incorporates organic instrumentation, including strings, brass, and woodwinds, grounded in rhythm and groove.

Influenced by artists such as Radiohead, Björk, Jeff Buckley, Fela Kuti, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, David Bowie, and Massive Attack, Mishko balances experimentation with a songwriter’s instinct for melody and emotion. His music aims to feel both immediate and enduring.

Mishko is currently working on his debut album, slated for release in 2026. The project is an introspective exploration of personal and global themes, blending emotional honesty with intricate rhythmic and textural detail. Alongside his solo work, he has contributed to several London-based bands, performing guitar, synth, and vocals, experiences that continue to shape his approach to both production and live performance.

Driven by curiosity and ecstatic joy in creation, Mishko approaches music as a space for exploration, connection, and expression—inviting listeners into an intimate, modern, and evolving sound world.
