Glanko is the musical moniker of Italian electronic composer Giuseppe Fallacara. For years, Fallacara played guitar in many bands, before beginning his explorations with electronic music in 2012.
After a first EP, he started his musical career with the album ''Alset'' (2014) for the German label Halbsicht Records. His signature sound is defined by techno beats, frenetic percussion, glitches, melancholic harmonies, airy pads, dark sounds, synth leads and analog arpeggiators. In each album he tells a story with a very specific concept. His latest release "The Awakening'' (2023 – Osmotica Records) presents the mood of previous records but introducing a more accentuated melodic component than in the past. Stronger techno rhythms, long sequences of pads and synths are accompanied by filtered guitars to create very suggestive atmospheres. Since 2023, Glanko's live set has transformed into a hybrid between a techno set, an ambient listening experience and a work where visual and sound components are equally fundamental parts of the whole.
