Dr.Nojoke's EP "M" features four previously unreleased tracks from over 10 years ago, all of which share the initial letter M.
The 29-minute ride takes listeners through a diverse sonic landscape of associations, while maintaining the unmistakable essence of Dr.Nojoke's signature style.

Of particular note is 'Moimon', a blend of shamanic capoeira chants, drones, electro-techno beats and haunting bass that evokes the intensity of a hidden ritual.
"Mustart" boasts a dark rhythmic drive with immersive textures and, like "Moimon", has been tried and tested in countless performances by Dr.Nojoke in clubs around the world.
Miliplex" and "Mumucu" reflect the deeper minimal-micro CLIKNO style synonymous with the Doctor.

In 2021 CLIKNO celebrates its 5th anniversary and presents with its 10th release a very special acoustic techno EP from Dr.Nojoke entitled “Muaco.

This EP is a child of the Corona crisis. Muaco stands for Music against Corona and deals with the clubless time we are all experiencing.

When Dr.Nojoke picked up his Höfner acoustic guitar during the lockdown in spring he was looking for new inspirations. The recordings led to three brilliant poly-rhythmical tracks for a special trip far off the beaten path.
Dr.Nojoke suggests his EP as much as a way for home-clubbing as well as a listening experience.
We don´t even know, if it is techno or what, but as mostly all parts were created with acoustic guitar you may file it under acoustic techno or guitar techno.
We think it is just great groovy music - pulsating, hypnotic, danceable, kraut-ish, freaky - that should be played everywhere.

The digital world and social media in particular change our perception and behavior; our values and morals undergo a transformation and shift. How much are we still anonymous? How much are we still intimate (with us/with others)? What does anonymity and intimacy mean to us today?

MUSIC.
Dr.Nojoke shows on AI his deeper, darker, bassier and trippier side.
A. Petar Plet Plete is based on a Bulgarian tongue twister. The chant hypnotizes with its layers and endless repetitions over a straight Maurizio-esque groove with melodic percussion in odd time signature. Nivin grooves elegantly with typical Dr.Nojoke clicks and sophisticated loops of a mysterious female voice, whose melody reminds slightly to Kraftwerk’s Man-machine era.
I. EOW and Nuknot are both intimate orgies of thick textures of reverberations and reflections as if space is folding in itself and time is on hold. EOW seduces with a heavy kick-drum groove and a triplet bassline underneath crawling through unconscious memories. Woe! Nuknot is carried by eternal atmospheres, a low end bassline and a repetitious glassy clang, that can drive a crowd into madness - inspired by Moritz von Oswald and Deadbeat. Nuknot ends in an ambient lock groove
