The past couple months have been interesting to say the least. We're all finding ways to cope with the worldwide pandemic. I for one have always found comfort and inner peace making music. And with new found studio time, I've been able to create quite a bit of music lately, which in turn has helped keep me grounded. Coming up this year, I have an album on Triplicate Records, another coming up on whitelabelrecs as part of the "home diaries" series. A collaborative EP with Belial Pelegrim, and I've also been making daily videos of little performances on YouTube and Instagram.
I have before you a collection of works made during the sessions from these multiple projects that have yet to find a home, and presented in the form of a mini-album.
I sincerely hope that in some small way, my music can help get you through this crisis. I tried to make happy, uplifting music to help brighten your day, but it's not really a happy, uplifting time to be around and I think this album reflects that. I don't want to be dishonest. However, even if this is on the darker side of ambient, it's structured in such a way to offer a little bit of hope.
Thank you
~Michael Southard
