Hiram makes music to connect with Nature and to offer comfort and escape, drawing influence and inspiration from the beauty of the natural world.
The artist uses analog synthesis and electro-acoustic process to create unique, ethereal sound worlds, playing wooden flutes made from Walnut, Cedar, and Rosewood, blended with voice, tape, and the sounds of the natural environment. This work includes textures sourced from open air field recordings, underwater hydrophone sounds, and using systems such as site specific outdoor performances to connect directly to the organic essence of the surrounding spaces.
