Works

"Works" marks the end of a year long monthly EP project I started in January of 2022. Each month I created a four track EP in various styles using new techniques and different creative workflows. The objective of this series was to keep myself on schedule, to challenge myself, and to find ways to harness creativity. But if I'm being honest, it was mostly to find a way to stay relevant in the new musical landscape, where music that was released six weeks ago ceases to be new anymore and evaporates into the atmosphere.

So with that in mind, it was my intention, after creating forty-eight tracks in this series, to cherry pick a few to highlight on a compilation. I wouldn't expect casual listeners to pick up twelve different releases of mine over the course of a year just to hear what I've been up to. That would be selfish of me. The twelve selections on "Works" contain one track from each EP in the series and overall highlight the variety of my compositions but also a distilled essence of what this series means to me as a creator. And bonus points for giving some of these tunes a second chance.
