Music by Franz Schubert, re-imagined by Sabine de Rousseau. Lyrics by Johann Ludwig Wilhelm Müller. Originally composed in 1827 as the final song of Schubert’s Winterreise (“Winter’s Journey”) song cycle.

It depicts a derelict street musician playing a hurdy-gurdy in the cold winter, cranking his instrument with frozen fingers. His begging bowl is empty, no one is listening, and dogs growl at him, but he continues playing.

This release contains the radio edit only. Dolby Atmos version is available on Apple Music, Tidal and similar.
